Luxury and Bliss at Sydney's, Whale Beach.

One of our most popular and versatile kimonos is named after the beautiful Whale Beach. Less widely known and visited than the nearby more famous Palm Beach, this quiet beach is definitely worth a visit.

One of the Northern Beaches of Sydney, Whale Beach is only 40km from the heart of the Sydney CBD. This makes it a perfect getaway for locals and easily accessible for visiting tourists too. Nestled between Palm Beach and Avalon Beach, it seems to miss out on the larger crowds these two popular beaches attract.

The 10-minute drive down a windy cliff face from Palm Beach to Whale Beach sets the tone, and you feel as if you have left the hustle and bustle behind you en-route to a small slice of untouched bliss.

Although the area surrounding the beach is heavily built up with glitzy homes of affluential Sydney-siders the actual beach is very picturesque and reminiscent of days gone past. Walking along the golden sands you are just as likely to meet a local enjoying a surf as you are a celebrity on their beach escape.

Beach Life

Whale Beach is the perfect place for overseas tourists to see the iconic Australian Life Guards at work with the beach being patrolled for your safety on weekends. If you go for a splash in the ocean make sure you swim between those well know red and yellow flags. The 600m, golden sands are usually pristine, making it perfect for a stunning stroll along the water.

If you aren't up for the beach, there is also a 25m Ocean Pool available where you can take a dip while still getting the salt water in your hair.

Surf’s Up

Whale beach is known for it’s great surf by the locals and the “Wedge” at the northern end of the beach will be full of surfers when the swell is good. You can expect average waves of around 1.6m here and even if you don’t surf yourself it is always fun to watch the talented board-riders catch this legendary surf break.
